Ring Bling - Nokia 6600
For about a month now I’ve been rolling with a Nokia 6600 that I scored through AMAZON. I think I made $50 after rebates, but at the time of this writing the current $250 makes it FREE. That still sounds like a deal to me.
Anyways, this was a process of me switching to a new carrier. T-Mobile. So far… it’s all good with both the phone and the service. I used to use a Nokia 3650, and I’m happy to say that it seems like all the wrinkles that used to bug me have been ironed out. And, I’ve been amazed to find how nicely the XHTML/CSS layouts that I’ve been working on are rendering in the mobile browser.
So why the 6600 you ask. Well I looked into a handful of phones, but it boils down to this. It’s all gotta work right. Bluetooth modem, Mac syncing, cool features, mobile browsing, reliability. You know… beyond the “wow factor” to “OK, this is going to work and be very useful in the long run.” It really does everything that it is supposed to.
Right now Motorola isn’t there 100%… and I wasn’t prepared to wait for the new phones that they’ve been working on with Apple with the fancy iTunes support. I’m sure when those come (which should be pretty soon) iSync will work properly over bluetooth and everything will be grand for Motorola and Apple.
And, I will be slightly loathing one of those phones I’m sure.
In the meantime look for useful Nokia 6600 info that I come across to be posted here and shared with you.
