WordPress Reloaded
Ever since I’ve installed WordPress I’ve been trying to find out how to list the summaries of the 10 latest posts on the homepage, and show any links, pictures, images, graphics… etc.
Today I stumbled across the_excerpt_reloaded() plugin from guff over at the WordPress Wiki. If you’re in the same boat that I was in, this is the plugin that you’re looking for! It replaces the stock “the_excerpt()” template tag, which you would typically use in your WP index page.
With long posts that page was getting downright unruly at times. This plugin makes things 110% better. I’ll add a bit on this to the “Getting Started with WordPress” article over on JumpStart!

. anywhoo.. i was actually dumbfounded when i found it amongst my gazillion spam comments in moderation. I almost thought you were a spam, until I realized which blog of mine you commented on, then it all made sense.

I just noticed that you took action on SPAMers today with that HashCash plugin.
I’ll be checking in to see how that’s working for you. At first glance it looks pretty impressive.

I’m perplexed at Kathy being a target when on the list of top people to go after, I doubt she’d be in the first 50 pages (not discrediting her work, she’s brilliant, and gentle, but not the first I’d think would have to deal with this
