No more Medical Marijuana, says Supreme Court

June 7th, 2005

“People who smoke marijuana because their doctors recommend it to ease pain can be prosecuted for violating federal drug laws, the Supreme Court ruled Monday, overriding medical marijuana statutes in 10 states.”

Well the Herb Man better keep hustling then. (great song btw, go get it on iTunes)

The pictures in this article alone are worth taking a peek. Besides you might learn something. I for one had no idea that some states (until today) had laws allowing head shops to distribute “medical majijuana” ;) . Well they do!

…errrrr…. they did.

Too quiet….

May 27th, 2005

It’s time to kick some rocket fuel into this section of the site. It’s just not right that what should be one of my most favorite and active areas is getting the shaft.

My decks have been unplugged for about 6 months now, and I feel like I’m about ready to go on the warpath.

What say we get this party jumping and keep the tunes rolling? Dig??

iControl for Apple GarageBand

May 18th, 2005

The iControl for GarageBand

It seems like everytime I turn around lately M-Audio is making a new control surface. That’s not a bad thing.

The iControl is a USB powered control interface that is custom built for Apple’s GarageBand. It comes complete with jog wheel, Stop, Record and Play buttons and a number of other knobs to get your hands off the keyboard and onto the music. M-Audio designers look like they’ve done a great job keeping the look and feel consistent with what you’re most familiar with in GarageBand, while keeping it portable. Looking …

May 5th, 2005

On a more interesting note, I just noticed today that Vonage will soon be introducing a new WiFi phone. Sounds simple enough, right?

Well get this…. You’ll be able to carry the phone with you and use it on WiFi networks outside of your own home. You grab a cup of coffee, pop out your Vonage phone, join the network… and bada bing. You’re rolling.

Pretty sweet. Look for it this summer for under $100.

Apple sued for new OS X

May 5th, 2005

In a very lame attempt, computer electronics e-tailerTiger Direct has decided to sue Apple Computer for the release of the new version of OS X known as Tiger. They claim that the name infringes upon their business name, and further, it’s messing with their google rankings.

Cry me a river.

To compliment their lame complaint, they are suing for an equally lame amount of money. $75,000. Whooohooooo!!! Let’s sue Apple for pocket change!!

C|Net has complete coverage.
